G.I. Jive was a 15-minute music program that was produced & broadcast by the U.S. government via the Armed Forces Radio Service (AFRS) radio network. Early shows had a variety of hosts: Frank Nelson, Lester Jay, and popular pin-up girls like Donna Reed were guest DJs. In 1943, G.I. Martha Wilkerson (AKA G.I. Jill) hosted a couple shows on the United States government-produced Armed Forces Radio Service (AFRS). One program she hosted was G.I. Jive ( http://archive.org/details/AfrsG.i.Jive ) and another was Jill's All-Time Jukebox, which ran concurrent to the other show during part of its run (she mentions it during G.I. Jive). Also see The Army-Navy Screen Magazine 55 (1945) here on Archive.org. I only have 5 Jill's All-Time Jukebox shows :( but there are some real gems....

American Armed Forces Radio No 34 Jill’s Jukebox. While Martha Wilkinson was doing the GI Jive she also did another show called Jill’s jukebox. As G.I. Jill, Wilkerson became an Allied counterpart of the infamous Tokyo Rose. Wrote one sergeant serving in the Pacific: “Your cheerful voice does wonders to our morale. Tokyo Rose is also on the air. It’s as if two women of enemy countries were battling for men’s minds. I’m glad you’re winning, Jill.” The patter on G.I. Jive was more...
